Subject: Real simple plot
This was also made at a time when allied forces were taking huge losses in the millions from all sides so any kind of good news or hope was welcomed. The world has never had such suffering since and hundreds of millions can now be poured into movies instead of a few thousand.
What always struck me is how these movies assumed that Germans were all the dumcoffs who couldn't find their ass with both hands and yet were able to take over nearly all of Europe at the same time. Degrade the enemy and make them look weak and stupid even when that is never the case much the same way Muslim countries are portrayed today as all backward, stupid people which is always a big mistake.
Still..OK movie for having a low budget. I got a kick out of the "Ahah! Your new super secret high explosive hand grenade" bit then the stock footage of it blowing a fairly large building to itsy bitsy bits.. A grenade THAT explosive? Nobody could throw the darn thing far enough to not get killed themselves.. lol

Subject: Period Piece
Wonderful old film. To appreciate these old films you have to realize how difficult it was to make them. No one had money in those days and the world was occupied with war and suffering greatly from it. Besides it gave me a chance to see another period piece made just three years after my entry into the world.

Subject: Good wartime film.
Not bad at all. Good acting and good plot. Very entertaining, in spite of the obvious B-grade technology. Worth watching.

Subject: Waritme moral booster
A low budget, wartime flag waver. I don't think it suffers all that much by comparison with Edge of Darkness, a better known and vastly more expensive pro-Norwegian film with Flynn, Sheridan and Huston.

The action moves along nicely. Lyle Tabot (as ever) and June Duprez are solid leads. Charley Rodgers' character (Sgt Harry Hall) provides comedy relief as a vehicle for a few digs at the British army's class snobbery.

Subject: An Incursion in Occupied Norway
This is an exciting movie, very interesting with a bit of comedy thrown in. It was made on a low budget, but that does not prevent one from enjoying it to the full. Ignore the fact that some of the accents seem a bit inappropriate for the nationalities represented, such as the German soldiers who speak near perfect American-type English. The Canadian spy circulates successfully among German officers, without benefit of even a rudimentary German accent, ultimately frustrating a lie detector by the surreptitious use of a lighted cigarette.

Subject: Drama war
From the "drama, war" catagory, maybe they should add "unintentional comedy". Some movies are made well with a low budget, then there is this one. Maybe they could get hats that fit, or uniforms that match, and that would've helped. This flick is a stinker, but you should watch it for fun anyway.
